MRE 240 Liturgy Prayer and Sacrament
This course is an introduction to the development and practice of Christian liturgy for understanding the evolution of Christian liturgical practices. It will examine major moments in the historical development of Christian liturgy, beginning with the New Testament era with its Jewish foundations and continuing to current-day practices. Attention will be given to the constitutive elements of the liturgy (Scripture, language, music).
