SOC 308H Beauty and Society (Honors)

The concept of beauty is typically associated with art and fashion, but has broader significance in social life. This course provides an expansive view of the role of beauty in society, drawing on sociology, philosophy, anthropology, neuroscience, and psychology, to examine the relevance of beauty to diverse spheres of social life including science, religion, justice, hospitality, and more. This section is reserved for students in the University Honors Program and will require additional assignments.
