MLA 255 Employment Law

This course provides an overview of the legal relationship between employers and employees, including the employment-at-will doctrine, employment contracts, privacy, harassment, federal and state anti-discrimination laws, and worker's compensation proceedings. Administrative procedures as well as court actions are studied. Course Objectives: Demonstrate understanding of the relationship between employer and employee. Demonstrate understanding of discrimination, privacy, and harassment laws. Demonstrate understanding of liability as relates to the employer and employee.
