International Business - Sub-Plan Option

Language Minor
Please note - If completing International Business as a double-specialization, the minor requirement below is exempted.
International Business majors are required to declare a minor in a modern language by the end of their first year. Students may complete a minor in the following: French & Francophone Studies, German Studies, Hispanic Studies, Italian Studies, or Islamic World Studies.
International Business students who have demonstrated the fluency of a native speaker in a language other than English must either complete their minor language requirements in a language other than their native language or complete an approved minor or certificate from the following:
Abroad Experience
For the abroad experience requirement, international business majors may spend a semester or summer abroad either studying or working at an internship, or may participate in a university-organized mission trip. Upon completing this experience, the student should complete the Abroad Experience Approval Form (available from BSBE Advising), and a short reflection memo detailing the lessons learned from the experience. Details of this memo are outlined on the Abroad Experience Approval Form.
International (non-U.S.) students' abroad experience requirements are considered satisfied by virtue of their studies at Catholic University. International students are still required to complete a reflection memo and the Abroad Experience Approval Form. International students are still encouraged to pursue other international experiences commiserate with their interests, and are especially encouraged to pursue internship experience in the United States or elsewhere.
