MRE 110 The New Testament
This course explores the emergence and evolution of the New Testament within the context of the emergence and evolution of earliest Christianity. This exploration requires an understanding of both the Jewish and Greco-Roman worlds that form the religious, historical and cultural background of early Christianity. We will also want to witness the evolution of Christianity and, more specifically, Catholic theology as it relates to theological ideas presented in Scripture.
