PSY 447 Applied Cognitive Psychology

This course provides an overview of the ways in which design and use of technology, broadly conceived, are assessed from a human perspective. Basic human capacities and limitations are addressed, with a particular emphasis on the perceptual and cognitive. Theories of human performance are linked to real-world experience. The goals of this course are to examine the theories, methods, and research foundation for the broad field of human factors, and to provide a context for student engagement in the discussion of these issues.
