Intended Learning Outcomes
Learning experiences in this program are designed to assist the student in realizing the following outcomes:
- Weld metals proficiently using five different processes:
- Material processing (oxy-fuel welding and cutting, plasma, carbon air arc).
- Oxy-fuel (welding and cutting).
- Shielded metal arc welding.
- Gas metal arc welding.
- Gas tungsten welding.
- Follow safe practices in performing all welding tasks.
- Interpret written, schematic and numerical data to carry out customer specifications of a proposed welding product; write technical work orders for fabrication.
- Share in the responsibilities of maintaining a clean and orderly welding shop environment.
