Computer Accounts

Your K-Number (located on your IVCC student ID card):

is your username for IVCC Self-Service and the IVCC network.
is the first part of your student email address.
Your email address will be k-number@ivcc.edu.

Your 7-digit student ID number (the purple numbers on your IVCC student ID cards):

is used to identify you and should be protected in the same manner as your social security number or credit card.
is used as part of your default password for campus accounts. (Be sure you change this default password after your initial login to keep your information secure.)

IVCC Student ID Number

The number printed on your IVCC student ID card will permit you access to the online resources available through the library. The Student ID number contains your 7-digit student ID number. Your 7-digit student ID number is also located on your class schedule and billing statements. For more information, go to Student Learning Technologies - IVCC

Account Passwords

You are strongly encouraged to change your password as soon as you log into each system. For your security, passwords should contain both numbers and letters, it should contain at least 14 characters and include at least 3 of the following: uppercase, lowercase, number, and/or special character. Password Resets

The only remedy for a forgotten password is a reset. IVCC Self-Service has a password reset option. For other systems, you can call, email or visit the Student Help Desk for assistance. Students are required to provide their name, K-number, and 7-digit student ID number when requesting a password reset. Accessing Online Accounts

Quick access to all accounts is provided on the IVCC home page or by using I am a/an... on the IVCC home page and click IVCC Student.

IVCC Self-Service Account

Through your IVCC Self-Service Account, you can access your student records, such as final grades, class schedules, etc. You can also view semester course schedules and register for classes. Your IVCC Self-Service account is created the next business day upon application to IVCC. From the IVCC homepage, select IVCC Self-Service. To log in, follow the instructions below:

New students who applied after March 8, 2024:
o Go to www.ivcc.edu/selfservice
o Select Sign In in upper right
o User name: Full K email address
o Password: Eaglesxxxxxxx! (Xs represent your student ID# followed by an exclamation point)
o Create new password following the prompts

IVCC Email Account

Your email account is created within 24 hours of registering for classes. The various IVCC departments and your instructors may send important information to you through your IVCC student email account. Your email login will also be used to gain access to:

Brightspace Learning Management System
eCampus Online Bookstore
Jacobs Library's online resources
YOU@IVCC

IVCC Network Account

Logging onto computers at IVCC requires an IVCC Network Account. Accounts are created within 24 hours of registering for classes. Brightspace
