ADM 266 Vacuum Chambers â€" Operations and Risks
Students will study the operation and risk of vacuum chambers, the applications such equipment is useful for, and how to recognize and remedy outgassing contamination and pressure leaks. Students will also become familiar with the hazards room-size vacuum chambers can pose to living beings and become equipped to safely resolve issues while inside such large vacuum chambers. Lab hours may include simulations, field trips to experience vacuum chambers in industry, or experience with small vacuum chambers suitable for college use.
