PSY201 General Psychology
Students learn the historical and contemporary schools of psychology and foundational psychologists, research methods used in psychology, the biological bases of behavior, human development, sensation, and perception, as well as consciousness with application to human problems. Students will explore theory and research related to learning, memory cognition, and intelligence. They will discuss key interaction effects between these factors and the concepts of consciousness and mental states, before addressing the pros and cons of the concept measurement of intelligence. Strong reading and writing skills are recommended.
