FIN 226 Introduction to Finance

Offered in Fall and Spring semesters. This course provides an introduction to the theory, the methods, and the concerns of corporate finance. The concepts developed in FIN 226 form the foundation for all elective finance courses. The main topics include: 1) introduction of financial management; 2) understanding financial statements and cash flow; 3) the valuation of future cash flows; 4) valuing stocks and bonds; 5) capital budgeting; 6) risk and return; and long and short term financial management.
