PHYS 555 Astrochemistry: A Better Understanding of the Composition of the Universe
Astrochemistry is an interdisciplinary field between chemistry and astronomy, studying the evolution of atoms and molecules in the Universe. This field of research has played crucial roles in a wide range of applications, broadening our understanding of space. This course will cover: basic principles of astrochemical composition from the early Universe to star formation; explanation of the different research areas in astrochemistry and their applications (theory, experiment, observation); general discussion on instrumentations and techniques; basic study and analysis of published papers.
