NURS 783D Primary Care of Adults II

This is the second of two didactic courses designed to prepare the student for advanced practice as a Family or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. The course focuses on the comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic illness states, which affect the physical, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual dimensions of patients who present in a primary care setting. Pharmacological, Pathophysiology, and Advanced Health Assessment content are integrated throughout the course. The client system of the course is primarily directed at adolescent, adult, and geriatric individuals as a member of a family.
