EDUC 700 Supervised Internship& Seminar, Master's of Learning and Instruction
This capstone is the final course in the Master's of Learning and Instruction program of studies, designed to integrate and synthesize the student's entire course of study as well as apply the skills and competencies acquired to a contemporary educational issue. This culminating experience builds on the concepts, principles, and theories learned in previous core, specialization, and elective courses to support students in their field experience and project appropriate to their area of specialization and professional interests. The products of this seminar will be tangible evidence of a degree candidate's qualifications and expertise. Students spend a minimum of 150 hours per semester in an educational or non-school placement site observing and working under the direction of the on-site supervisor to gain practical work experience and insight into the educational implications of the setting. In consultation with the program coordinator, candidates must secure a placement site before the semester begins. Permission of the Coordinator of Master's of Learning and Instruction required.
