Course Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course the student will:
1. Identify types of gears
2. Create working drawings of spur gears and bevel gears
3. Design a belt drive system using vendor specifications
4. Design a chain drive system using vendor specifications
5. Draw a four-bar linkage schematic
6. Create a cam displacement diagram and cam profile drawing
7. Specify weld symbols and apply basic design criteria to fabricated and welded parts
