HUM101 U.S.-Mexico Border

In this course we will study the history of the US-Mexico border and how it came to be what it is today as a 1912-mile region that divides the world’s foremost superpower, The United States of America, and a country that continues to hover over a first/second and third world dimension of existence; Mexico. We will also study geography, politics, and the roles of borders in the social, and cultural contexts of humanity as they are found on the “borderlands/la frontera” today.
