SOC 515 Crimes in Urban Society
This course examines contemporary perspectives and data related to crime in urban America. In particular the course will investigate the relationship between new social deprivation, social disorder and social isolation in the United States and the disparity in the spatial concentration of crime. One of the major goals of the course is to sensitize students to the structural causes of crime among different ethnic and racial groups.
